— As a child, looking at his father, did you want to become a professional driver?
— In fact, we have worked in the family race only papa. Minor (younger brother Nicholas — Ed.). At that time, too, afraid of everything, so that my mother, brother and I were normal. Dad often invite friends, and it was fun to hear about the car, even though I did not understand (laughs).
— What kind of car you dreamed of when?
— The Pope was one of the first BMW E36 325. I so loved that car! Until now, I dream to save money and buy a good 36th. But the dream can and must remain a dream?
— Do you remember the first time you got behind the wheel?
— Yes. That was before I took up the rally. My first car — Dewoo Matiz, and it is very cool! I'm on it went through the entire training kontravariynoy, Dad and I traveled on it all the parking. — You really passed on the right with the sixth time
— Yes! Theory first time I flunked. A week later I came and passed her, but blocked the site. I did not know just what to overpass the inspector must leave the car and put the rear cone. — Initially, you wanted to become a motorcycle racer, not a rally driver?
— It's a long story. My father was engaged in the races (champion 2001 Rally in Russia) and since my childhood I was afraid of this.
Until the age of fourteen I was afraid of everything, but then began to change. I wanted to engage in motorsports. In 15 years, I gave the parents a moped. I was very happy, but soon had an accident and broke his left leg. Then there were six months on crutches as soon as began to walk with a cane came up to me and Dad asked, «Do you want to engage in motorsport yet» I said no. Then he asked me about the rally. And I wanted to try. But his father was resolute — or he makes a professional pilot or «learn in school.» I thought two days and agreed.
— Why two days?
— So long my father gave me. I knew that I would be spending little time in Moscow, respectively, rarely going home.
— What happened on the third day?
— On the way to school, I called him and told about his positive decision. To which he replied, «All understood. Till!». And I hung up. I honestly do not understand what happened (laughs), but there was a great deal. A week later came a month bezvylazno training.
— What were these training?
— Familiarization with the machine: how does it work, how goes. Then Dad drove me first to Evo VI N-group, where he participated in the race. The next day, I got into it myself and began to train.
— You rode aimlessly? Or did you start writing the transcript?
— I wrote the transcript of his father. Moreover, I have five years of writing the transcript itself, but I can not say that it is as perfect as his. The first time my father put me Dima Eremeev navigator, and then I went with George Troshkin. The main thing that the navigator could not only read, but also psychologically suited to you. — First remember their mistakes?

— How was your first rally?
— It was a rally Kurzeme (Latvia Championship) in 2010. At the time, the stage was won by my dad at the European Championship. Kurzeme is considered one of the toughest races in Latvia. Everything was good, but I let go even to direct gas — I was scared, but the desire was to drive stronger. So much so that we almost cleared in a couple of turns: flies in turn faster than necessary, twist the steering wheel in all directions, the car exhibits... Then translate the spirit, I think, it is necessary to go on quietly, but all the same. Although the co-driver was trying to calm me down.
— How many years do you have in motorsport?
— Five years and five months....
— The championship of Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Europe... What is all of this particularly remember?
— I remember the finish in the European Championship in Latvia, when I came second in the class. I stood on the podium, the music was playing, there were fireworks... Even tears. During these emotions when you are struggling with the world's pilots for a split second, I am ready to give everything. This wild delight!
— The most important thing for you — the struggle?
— In my career, the most important thing is that I spent a lot of time with his father. Before that, I did not see him, because he drove himself, and we are now caught up for another twenty years forward (laughing).
— Do you remember the moment when he stopped himself to ride the race&
— Yes. It was at the Nurburgring. We arrived there on a 6-hour race. We had a BMW for SP6 class. I was all the buzz: the car is sliding, jumping! However, she broke the race, so it was no longer about driving on the result of the speech. Dad drove only one hour instead of half and said: «I can see where you need to go quickly, but the response is not the same. I can not fulfill. » All his life he tells me where and how to go faster. He really sees this better than anyone, but he himself lost the spark in his eyes.
— Last year you had an accident, because of which missed the season. You tell us what happened?
— That day I woke up, I brushed my teeth, eat breakfast — as usual (laughs). We needed a navigator to fly to Latvia. It took the car and drove uppercase in Aluksne. Not far from the town of Cesis on one of the springboards NATO US military from taking rent a car, we decided to overtake a truck. — Before the accident, what were your plans for the season?

— Are you going to act in the WRC?
— Yes, but for some reason it did not work out. Now all hope for the younger brother.
— Probably, it is difficult, when the family two brothers engaged in racing?
— We once went with Nicky «24 Hours in Dubai» together with Vanya Samarin and Sergey Borisov. We Kolya Dad said: «Who will show the best time I have to buy Morozhenko tomorrow.» Kolya and I... well, the gap we had less than ten. I won, but we did not talk a week later! We want to beat each other any cost, we just strap falls.

— Have you tried to go to circuit racing?

It was fun when a dad first went to the «Nürburgring» on karkashennoy BMW, and the speed of 270 km / h I feel hit from behind by the Clio, which we have just overtaken.
— How do you feel about really fast cars? Never wanted to participate in drag racing?
— They are accelerated to 500 km / h — it is incredibly fast! I believe that there is very much dependent on the engineers, although the pilots depends on many things, as he quickly started, switch and so on. But motorists still rule the world. I just can not imagine how the car can accelerate so quickly! You kind of start, but the finish! It is very cool! I'd really like to try to pass on a ¼ mile — this is also my dream. But to build a car for drag racing — it is not.
— Well, if we consider the time-ATTAC? Often professional racers do not like «trophies pumping stations»?
— Surprised, but I like this discipline, too.. However, in Russia too different cars power even in the same class. If all the trim and all cars will be relatively the same, it becomes much more interesting and complicated. You have to pay for one lap as possible, to be able to show everything that is capable of! Accordingly, it is taught to go as fast as possible and not make mistakes.
— We have gradually come to what you wanted to do professionally — rally-cross. What do you like?
— I wanted them to do, but the Americans... Oh! From a relatively young discipline it is the most spectacular. Asphalt, gravel, jumping, internal struggle — all the viewer sees. This incredibly beautiful! There are some cars start faster than supercars and «formulas» are all-wheel drive and power of 670 forces and weighs 1100 kilograms. There's acceleration to hundreds of takes a little more than two seconds!
— So you still have the desire to remain in the rally-cross?
— I have a desire to drive at all. No matter where, no matter how. If the choice of discipline, I still would like to rally.
You know, we had a cool case. We went to Corsica, it was my first trip to the championship in Europe. Meals on prescription and look left — rock on the right — a small bordyurchik and breakage.
